ABOUT ABERDEENSHIRE
Aberdeenshire covers a wide-ranging part of North-East Scotland, including scenic coastal towns and villages such as Stonehaven and Banff, castles galore including the stunning Dunnottar Castle, twisting country roads and fantastic runs such as over the top of Cairn O’Mount. It also includes a large part of the Cairngorms National Part, taking in places such as Braemar and Ballater, with streams, rivers and tourist attractions.

RIDE OUTS
We are working on a programme of official ride outs, but they will be at weekends at a day and time most convenient to all. Everyone is welcome to put forward their suggestions for routes and stops. However, when we have the long hot summer days a few evening ride-outs are certain to happen along with spur of the moment trips. There are quite a few good fish and chip shops in the area!

Trips outside of the area will also be covered, as at least one visit a year to Tomintoul, Aviemore etc. has to be done. The views from the tops of the ski-lifts have to be seen!

SOCIAL MEETINGS
We will be meeting monthly to catch up and plan future ride-outs and events. Suggestions for suitable meeting places are welcome! Given the size of the region the social meets will be moved around to give everyone a chance to say hello.

ABOUT ANGUS
Covering both coastal areas such as Montrose, Arbroath and Carnoustie and parts of the Cairngorms National Park, Angus has a variety of roads that Diana is keen to show you. Apart from the main coastal road there are plenty of backroads to find and explore, often with hidden views. There are also a number of cafes that we are yet to check out! This region has been extended to include Dundee as Diana works at weekends at Scotriders Motorcycle Training in Dundee as a CBT instructor. She is very keen on encouraging women to get into biking as well as improving their skills.

ABOUT SOLWAY COAST
From the Dalveen Pass and the “South Coast 300” to Hartside Pass and The Struggle, your Solway Coast regional group has some of the best biking routes in the UK (and some of the best kept secrets) right on our doorstep. We span a large geographical area, but that doesn’t deter us from meeting up regularly to explore the hill passes and seaside routes (and chip shops!) that we all know and love. We have official social meets and ride outs each month – but with an active member base only a message away you’ll find us out on the road far more often than that.

RIDE OUTS
Official ride outs are agreed at the monthly social (see below) and will always fall on a weekend at a day and time most convenient to all. Everyone is welcome to put forward their suggestions for routes and stops. Outside of the agreed official ride out days, our members regularly take the opportunity for an impromptu ride in search of chips, cake or ice-cream – or most likely all three!

SOCIAL MEETING
We meet officially on the third (3 rd ) Wednesday of every month at 7pm for a sit down meal, chat and to plan the months ahead. You’re welcome to join us at the Edenbank Hotel, 17 Laurieknowe, Dumfries DG2 7AH. Please let our Point of Contact know of your intention to come along so the hotel can be made aware of numbers.

ABOUT SOUTH-CENTRAL
Currently we have members across Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex and London. It’s a wide area but we meet for socials and rides in different places to give everyone the opportunity to attend. Our rides always lead us to lunch, ice cream or cake! We ride out to the Cotswolds, the Chiltern Hills, the coast and anywhere in between.

Our members are happiest when on their bikes and outside of the organised events there is always someone free for an adventure!
Suggestions for places to go and things to see are always welcomed.

RIDE OUTS
As we have a mix of riders from CBT to 20 years plus experience, we have 2 ride outs a month. One is for Novices & Newbies, everyone is welcome, but this is to support L plate riders, newly passed riders, any nervous or worried riders, those who have come back from accidents, or are not confident with overtakes etc. This gets people used to group rides and helps build confidence for longer distances. It’s not about embarrassing anyone; we’ve all been there at one time!! We essentially try to support the needs of those who attend and get you out on your bike feeling awesome!

The second ride each month is intermediate to advanced riders, this is for experienced riders, those who are working towards or who have completed advanced training etc. The aim is to give options that keep everyone smiling! The ride meeting place and route are posted before the event with a copy of the sat nav file, so everyone can follow if they wish.

SOCIAL MEETING
We meet on Tuesday nights once a month. The location does rotate across the region. This is a relaxed meeting for dinner so everyone to get to know each other, discuss rides and the opportunity to share ideas for future trips.
